Description
Started with BlackBerry Enterprise Server
(BES) version 2.0, the BES configuration database is stored in a Microsoft SQL Database. When the
BES is first installed, a default database name is specified. Although it can be changed, most installations choose the default database name of
BESmgmt.
The
itrezzoAgent BPE process needs read only access to this database to gather details about each handheld in the database:
- Associated E-Mail Address of user
- BlackBerry PIN
- BlackBerry Phone Number
- iDEN Radio Telephone Number
- BES Service Name
- Elapsed Time since last handheld activity
The
BES MDS configuration settings are also read from the database by
itrezzoAgent. For example, the DNS host name of the
MDS server as well as the network port number of the
MDS Service.
The
itrezzoAgent server does not write or changed any values in the database.
